September Publication

This layout was published in ScrapStreet Magazine September 2009:

I used the same fabric and ribbon to embellish the page as I used to dress the doll. I took a photo of the doll, cut it out and adhered it to some chipboard packing material. The journaling bubble is the same one my son made for school; I reduced the size and printed it out on cardstock for both journaling and embellishment.

Papers: Scenic Route, Cardstock: Canson, Buttons: Making Memories, SEI, Ink: Rubber Stampede, Alphabet Stickers: Making Memories, Marker: American Crafts, Ribbon: Offray, Stamp: Staples, Fonts: Baby Boston, Tahoma, Other: buttons, chipboard, fabric, machine stitching, staple, zipper.

Happy Birthday Hans!

I made this card for Hans' birthday:

I cut away part of the front of the card to show the striped paper on the inside of the card when it is closed.

My Mind's Eye papers and title, Bazzill Basics Paper cardstock, Carolee's Creations clip, American Crafts ribbon, white staples.

A little late ...

... but these were my publications last month (August 2009) in ScrapStreet Magazine ...

I love the look of lace paper and I decided to make some digital lace paper myself. I tried to make the paper stand out by keeping the design very simple and layering it on top of two different colored backgrounds.

Paper and Ribbon: Lady Bugga by Jennifer Barrette and Lauren Grier (Sweet Shoppe Designs), Lace Paper: Janneke Smit, Ric-rac: West Coast Girls by Libby Weifenbach and Krystal Hartley (Sweet Shoppe Designs), Badge: Party Perfect by Dora’s Designs (ScrapStreet), Staple: Bubble-Licious by Christy Lyle & Zoe Pearn (Sweet Shoppe Designs), Fonts: Occidental, Times New Roman, Software: Adobe Photoshop CS3.

I cut away a small strip on the right side of the front of the card. I adhered some patterned paper on the inside of the card. So when the card is closed it shows a small strip of the paper on the inside of the card (just one line of dots.)

Paper: Cherry Arte, Cardstock: Bazzill Basics Paper, Felt Flower, Word: Creative Café, Ribbon: American Traditional Designs, Stamps: PSX, Safety Pin: Making Memories, Ink: Rubber Stampede, Card base: Halcraft, Other: white staples.

ScrapStreet Magazine September 2009

The new ScrapStreet Magazine is available and it has a new look! Check it out here: September 2009.
I worked very hard for the last two months to update the look of the magazine and to fix and rewrite a lot of HTML code for the ScrapStreet website in general. I think it looks nice :)

I have one publication this month in the magazine: Check out the calls for the December issue here: Current Calls, due September 30.

And Happy Birthday Dora!
